IMPROVISATIONS

•Started the band "TOTE OMA" with Luis Guerra and Lee Montgomery (vocals, laptops, electronics) and did our first performance for an audience of four, Hamburg, Germany. ("TOTE OMA" means "dead grandma" - slang for mystery meat lunches served in German grade schools)
•While on the airplane to DC sitting next to a writing teacher from Alaska I began writing again and formalizing my plans for a large-scale public intervention called "SUPERBOWEL" designed for Spring of 2006 in Detroit.
•"Geriatric Robot" (my default routine, never actually referred to as "geriatric robot") dance performance on closed-curcuit television in Cafe Burger, a Berlin nightclub, a kind of self-advertisement while simultaneously trying to inspire dance
•dirty dancing with a street sign in Chicago, 2001

•i just think this is funny, of course i should document in writing if nothing else some of the lesser formal and much more public performances and actions in social settings that i've done, i mean i like art and performance galleries and venues but realistically this new (old!) category should be much larger than the ones just below, i mean why do i need to list where i did something? is this a worthwhile endeavor, writing a resume? if i only list my formal collaborations with institutions i could never mention my impromptu dirty dancing strip tease on a sign post in Chicago during a walk with a group of about 6 people, 10 innocent bystanders, and 20 or so passing cars, nor could i mention my occasionally wearing white matching helmets with friends while driving slowly, nor could i mention, uh, um, uh, well there are some interesting projects i did more formally too, though...ha! i can't maintain a blog but apparently i can update my site frequently! good luck
